Overview:

This is a REMOTE position.

 

The Senior Program Manager - Health Economics and Performance Optimization drives the strategic, operational, and tactical initiatives to achieve exemplar level of performance across value-based agreements and KPIs of the Primary Care Performance Division (PCPD).

The role serves as subject matter expert on the constructs of value-based agreements and KPIs of the PCPD and interprets and operationalizes performance drivers in partnership with operational and clinical leaders.

Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

 

•    Partner with operational and clinical leadership to identify key gaps and resources to deliver initiatives then partner with cross-functional teams to address.
•    Engage stakeholders to identify opportunities and technologies to enable performance.
•    Lead cross-functional team efforts to ensure work and deliverables meet timelines.
•    Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive comprehensive tactical plans which drive performance.
•    Coordinate communications and change management needs, when appropriate, and partner to implement.
•    Help plan and deliver cross-functional work efforts to drive performance short, mid, and long-term. 
•    Mentor or coach other Program Managers
•    Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Five years of relevant business, or clinical work experience 
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business administration, finance, nursing, or related field.
  • Preferred Education: Master's degree in healthcare or business administration, nursing, or related field
  • Certifications: Epic or Mercy population health platform certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • Other: •    Strong understanding of clinical quality measures, specifically HEDIS, and programs involving revenue and quality, e.g., CMS MSSP ACO, Medicare Advantage
    •    Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
    •    Ability to build cross-departmental relationships.
    •    Superior written and verbal skills
    •    Strong organization and delivery management skills to synchronize the efforts of multiple teams on a consolidated timeline.
    •    Experience with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Commercial or Medicaid value-based programs
    •    Experience with risk adjustment models
