The Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates imaging equipment and software proficiently, mostly nuclear medicine imaging equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include serving as a lead, when direct leadership is unavailable, serving as a resource, and assisting in training. The Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist requires proficiency and thorough understanding of operating imaging equipment and procedures while ensuring patient safety and maintaining imaging standards. Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and completed required clinical hours.
Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
Certification/Registration: NMTCB or ARRT (N); Basic Life Support BLS;
AND
1 advanced registry from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Positron Emission Technology Certification (PET)
- Nuclear Cardiology Technologist Certification (NCT)
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (CT)
- Radiation Safety Certification (RS)
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Proficient in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment (e.g., gamma cameras, PET scanners)

Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
