This position reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for assisting with the annual financial statement audit, preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements, and accounting for grants for various Mercy ministries. The Sr. Consultant Finance will assist the department director in the coordination of project assignments and provide technical review/assistance on projects prepared by department co-workers. The Sr. Consultant Finance will provide guidance to department co-workers and lead them in accomplishing tasks in a timely and efficient manner and will perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Position requires a minimum of five years accounting or financial analysis experience.

Other: 1. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
2. Strong written and oral communication skills.
3. Ability to effectively guide co-workers and lead team in completing tasks.
4. Knowledge of proper financial statement formats and disclosures required under GAAP.
5. Computer literacy with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
6. Ability to work independently to meet project deadlines.
7. Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.
Any travel required? (Will vary by specific position/location)


Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Preferred Licensure: CPA preferred.

Preferred Experience: Healthcare financial reporting experience. Public accounting experience. Lawson financial system experience. Grant compliance and Uniform Guidance audit experience.
