Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct caregivers and coordinates patient care in collaboration with other departments. Qualifications:

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (associate degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure

  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure for states in which nursing duties are performed.

  • Must comply with all State Board of Nursing licensure requirements.

Certifications:

  • Required:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

  • May be required depending on unit or must be obtained within department‑defined timeframe:

    • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support

    • NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program

    • ENPC – Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course

    • TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course

    • CPHON – Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse

    • OCN – Oncology Certified Nurse

    • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support

    • PEARS – Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization

    • S.T.A.B.L.E. – Six Assessment & Care Modules

    • C‑EFM – Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification

    • Other unit‑specific certifications as required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.

  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform job duties.
