Mercy Clinic is seeking a Sports Medicine– fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon to join our well‑established, high‑performing team of 10 orthopedic surgeons serving two state‑of‑the‑art campuses: Mercy Hospital Joplin and Mercy Specialty Hospital Southeast Kansas in Galena—located just 15 minutes apart.
As part of Mercy Clinic, a physician‑led, professionally managed multi-specialty group with more than 3,500 physicians, you will practice in one of the nation's largest and most integrated healthcare organizations.
Position Highlights
- Partner with local Family Medicine/Sports Medicine physicians to provide coverage for area high schools and youth football programs, with opportunities to expand sports partnerships.
- Established Concussion Clinic Program with strong community demand.
- Collaborative support from experienced athletic trainers, physical therapists, and orthopedic PA's and NP's
- State-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with advanced technology
- Rehabilitation center featuring HydroWorx therapy pools
- Dedicated orthopedic hospital and HOD surgery center at the Galena campus
- System-wide Epic electronic health record
Compensation & Benefits
- $650.000 guarantee within a strong, integrated health system.
- $50,000 recruitment bonus.
- Up to $20,000 relocation assistance.
- $5,000 annual CME allowance.
- Four weeks of vacation, six paid holidays, plus five CME days during the guarantee period.
