The Facility Tech II will be knowledgeable to operate, adjusts and perform routine maintenance on general hospital equipment, physical plant equipment, refrigeration systems, HVAC-R systems, plumbing, electrical, generator, medical gas system, pneumatic tube system and other equipment in the hospital inventory. Opportunities for advancement include: building automation system training and practical application, formal course work in a related engineering, electronics or management field. He/she must have a minimum of one year (1) high pressure boiler operator experience or three years (3) related maintenance experience with the following license: Boiler, Plumber, Electrical or HVAC-R. The Facility Tech II assists with assigned maintenance work orders and communicates daily with the Facilities Supervisor. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and mercy Service Standards.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education:High School Graduate
Licensure:Arkansas State Boiler Operator's License (within 6 months). Maintain a valid driver's license.
Experience:Minimum of three years (3) practical experience in (2) of the following fields: Industrial electrical systems up to 480 volts-3 phase; HVAC-R operation; boiler operation and maintenance; pump repair; electronics; generator operation; medical gas systems; pneumatic tube systems; security systems and in general institutional or industrial environments.
Other Skills and Knowledge:Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Strong organizational skills. Self-directed requiring minimal supervision with proper instruction. Process oriented thinker, positive attitude, team player. Basic computer skills. Flexible work schedule.
Education:Courses in electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration desired. Courses/Training in HVAC-R, Building Automated Systems. Courses/Training in Generator Operation.
Licensure:Either of the following licenses: Boiler, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC-R, Refrigeration.
Experience:Experience in maintenance field including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC-R.
Other Skills and Knowledge:Basic building maintenance knowledge.
Ability to complete physical building maintenance duties requiring minimal supervision.
Able to read plans and blue prints.
