Find your calling at Mercy! As part of the Virtual Substance Use Recovery Program, the Clinical Social Worker engages with patients across all phases of recovery. This role requires advanced clinical expertise, including the ability to triage initially stabilized patients, complete comprehensive assessments, establish diagnoses, and deliver brief intervention-based therapy. Proficiency in motivational interviewing and other evidence-based practices is essential to support patient engagement and long-term recovery. The Clinical Social Worker functions with a high degree of autonomy, managing a dynamic caseload while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities include providing intensive case management services, addressing social determinants of health, coordinating care across providers and settings, and connecting patients with community and internal resources. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details:

Education:
Master's degree in Social Work, Required.
Licensure:
Current license in Social Work in the state of employment (LMSW, LCSW), LCSW required.
Experience:
Minimum 2 or more years' experience in substance use, behavioral health, or acute hospital care setting preferred.

3. Specialized ability to assess, diagnoses, and use effective clinical interventions

4.  Comprehensive skills in treatment planning and outcome evaluation.

5. Advanced computer skills.                       

 6. Robust knowledge of human behavior and clinical aspects of Social Work.  

7. Expert at interacting effectively with a variety of people and collaborate across disciplines.

8.  Knowledge of community resources for appropriate referrals.

9.  Other duties as assigned.
