The Clinical Consultant Performance Solutions plays a key leadership role in enabling data-driven decision-making, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting systemwide transformation initiatives. This role complements the broader IPS team by focusing on the technical development of datasets, dashboards, and analytic tools that support performance improvement, standardization, and operational excellence. What we're looking for:Data Engineering & Modeling:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize analytic datasets in Azure Databricks, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable data pipelines.
- Build structured, well-documented models and semantic layers that enable efficient reporting and repeatable analytics.
- Validate, profile, and clean data from multiple sources, including EHR systems, supply chain systems, productivity tools, and operational data platforms.
- Partner with data platform teams to ensure adherence to governance, security, and performance standards.
- Design and build enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards, including modeling, DAX measures, visualizations, and performance optimization.
- Translate complex data into intuitive, story-driven dashboards that highlight variation, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Publish and manage content within Power BI Service, including RLS, workspace structure, and deployment pipelines.
- Develop standardized templates, visuals, and reusable components to support consistency across the IPS analytics portfolio.
- Analyze operational workflows and system behaviors to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with process improvement specialists, clinical consultants, and operational leaders to validate findings and build data-driven recommendations.
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, and throughput optimization efforts through metric design, performance tracking, and root‑cause analytics.
- Provide clarity and narrative around “the story in the data,” helping stakeholders connect insights to real-world operational performance.
- Serve as a technical thought partner for leaders across clinical and non‑clinical areas, helping them leverage data to drive better decisions.
- Lead analytic components of cross-functional projects from concept to deployment, including scoping, requirements, development, rollout, and optimization.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and best practices to other analysts and team members.
- Support change management efforts, including stakeholder communication, training, and adoption of new dashboards and tools.
- Identify gaps in current systems, tools, and workflows, proposing enhancements or new analytics capabilities to support the ministry's strategic goals.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, Power BI updates, and Azure analytics capabilities to improve solution quality and scalability.
- Promote data literacy and foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Qualification(s):
Education: Bachelor's degree in clinical/pharmacy field.
Licensure: Requires clinical license in specific fields (i.e. Pharmacy, Operating Room, or other highly clinically intensive environment.).
Experience: 7 plus years of clinical/operational experience in an integrated health system required.
Preferred Qualification(s):
- 5+ years of data science, data analytics, information systems, computer science, engineering, BI Development and/or data engineering experience HIGHLY preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, Power Query, visualization design).
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks or equivalent modern cloud data platforms.
- Strong SQL and/or PySpark skills.
- Experience interpreting operational or clinical workflows and turning data into meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Experience in healthcare, operational performance, or system-level process improvement.
- Six Sigma, Lean, or similar process improvement certification.
- Experience with Git, DevOps, or structured development frameworks.
- Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic preferred) and supporting operational tools.
- Analytical mindset with a strong sense of curiosity.
- Ability to identify patterns, variability, and workflow issues through data.
- Collaboration across technical, clinical, and operational teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
