Join Mercy and Make a Difference in Women's HealthMercy Women's Health is seeking a compassionate and patient-centered Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing team at Clinic Towers Suite 1017B on the Mercy Hospital St. Louis campus.
In this role, you will partner with providers and care team members to deliver exceptional care to women across all stages of life. You'll play an important role in supporting patient care, coordinating clinical services, educating patients, and helping create an outstanding experience that reflects Mercy's mission and values.
Due to recent clinic growth and staffing transitions, we are expanding our team to support increased patient volumes and maintain the high-quality care our patients expect.
Position OverviewThe Clinic RN or LPN utilizes the nursing process to provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in an outpatient Women's Health setting. This position works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care, support clinical workflows, and ensure patients receive exceptional service throughout their healthcare journey.
Responsibilities are performed in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards while protecting patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Support- Provide direct nursing care and clinical support to patients in a Women's Health clinic environment.
- Assist with examinations, procedures, treatments, and diagnostic testing as appropriate.
- Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, assessments, and clinical information.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate significant findings to providers.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments in accordance with licensure and clinic protocols.
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, follow-up care, and preventive health measures.
- Coordinate care and facilitate communication among patients, providers, specialists, and ancillary departments.
- Participate in patient care planning and ensure continuity of care.
- Assist with referrals, authorizations, follow-up appointments, and patient outreach activities.
- Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans and care recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and evidence-based clinical practices.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in departmental projects as assigned.
- Work effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and support staff.
- Participate in staff meetings, educational opportunities, and ongoing professional development.
- Support a positive team environment focused on excellence in patient care.
- Assist with onboarding and training activities as requested.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Licensure
- Current Missouri RN license or eligibility to practice in Missouri.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
Licensure
- Current Missouri LPN license or eligibility to practice in Missouri.
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced clinic setting.
- Basic computer and electronic medical record proficiency.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-focused care.
- Previous Women's Health, OB/GYN, ambulatory care, or physician office experience.
- Experience with patient education and care coordination.
- Knowledge of outpatient clinical workflows and electronic medical records.
