Find your calling at Mercy! The Assistant Manager of Support Services is responsible for patient transport, voice services, shuttle services, and Specialty Patient Equipment. This leader is responsible for daily operation, recruitment and retention, staffing and scheduling, ordering and receiving, and overall performance of the department. The Assistant Manager is the primary point of contact for this department within the facility, and in partnership with the Manager facilitates all communication regarding transport within the hospital amongst other pertinent teams (vendors, clinical staff, leaders, doctors, coworkers). Due to the nature of the department providing 24/7 staff to the hospital this leader can expect to work some flexible hours at times and should anticipate visiting each shift at an appropriate frequency to be determined with their leader. Position Details:
Required Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree or Certification in engineering, CIS, electricity, electronics, HVAC, refrigeration, or building maintenance.
Experience: 5 years managing facility maintenance staff
Licensure: Valid Driver's License for all Mercy locations
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical or Electrical preferred
Experience: 8 years' experience in Building Automation Systems, Energy Management or Facilities Management in a healthcare environment preferred. 6 years' proven supervisory, or management experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in health, business administration, or related field
Experience: 3 years' experience in leadership with direct employee oversight, patient transport experience in healthcare environment, 1 year healthcare experience

Strong computer skills
Comfortable with technology
Physical Requirements:
Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
