Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in the procurement, storage, preparation and delivery of medications. The work involves safe medication handling, abiding by Arkansas Pharmacy Board and Arkansas Department of Health regulations and promotion of medication safety to ensure our patients receive Mercy Signature Service. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Qualifications:
Because you're committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That's why you'll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalency
Licensure: Arkansas Pharmacy Board Technician Registration
Experience: Prior pharmacy technician experience desired but not a prerequisite.
Certifications:Obtain National Technician Certification within 12 months.
Other: Must pass the Pre-hire math test
Effectively communicates using the English language
Signed off in the following Mercy Hospital Fort Smith Pharmacy areas within 3 months:
- Policies/attendance-job expectations
- Front Counter/Carousel
- Omnicell/Automated Dispensing Cabinets
