An Environmental Services Tech I is responsible for performing daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, office, and other areas assigned by the Manager of EVS. The ultimate objective is to maintain a clean and safe environment to the patient, visitors, and associates within the facility. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, guiding principles and Mercy service standards.Qualifications:

- Education: Must read, write, and speak English.
- Licensure: None
- Experience: Some housekeeping experience.
- Other: Skills, knowledge and abilities: Must possess good communication skills. Must be willing to work differing shifts, schedules, and days of the week sometimes on short notice. Working conditions, mental and physical requirements: Ability to write legibly to communicate in written form. Must possess adequate visual acuity for reading labels and instructions. Must possess adquate hearing for telephone and normal conversational voice communications and overhead pages. Must have full use of arms, hands, legs, and feet. Must have the ability to lift and carry items up to 35 pounds.Equipment used:Upright vacuum cleaner and upholserty/carpet spotter.
