Certification Details
• ACLS from American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification Required
• PALS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course required.

Job Details
• Traveler will be working mostly nights but will have to cover vacations etc. So possibly one week per month.
• Traveler will not be required to work both shifts in one week.
• This position is mainly in the ED but would preferably like to have a traveler that would be able to flex to the M/S or ICU units if assistance is needed.
• Our ICU consists of 2 beds and the typical patients would include post surgical patients, DKA, overdose, detox, etc.
• It would be considered more of a heavy type of M/S patient and floating to the ICU would be very minimal.
• Float required
• 2 years of exp required
• 1st timers okay! (With previous ER experience)
• 6 hours of orientation
• No departmental color coding for scrubs
• Block scheduling!
• Patient Ratio Experience Required - 1:2
• Meditech charting preferred
• Trauma level I & II preferred
• Patient Age Group -Neonates -Infants -Pediatrics -Adolescents -Adults -Geriatrics
• Pyxis Medication System

• TNCC skills: -General ED, combined Adult/Pedi
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Arterial line management
• Phlebotomy
• Starting IV's
• Interpretation of ABGs
• Isolation Precautions
• Triage

Schedule Information
• Guaranteed Hours 8 Rule: 40.00 hours per 1 week
• 10 Rule: 40.00 hours per 1 week
• Travel/Crisis: 36 hours for 3 12-hour shifts
• 48 hours for 4 12-hour shifts
• 40 hours for shifts less than 12 hours

Unit Specific Information
• ED unit main assignment
• Possibility to flex to the M/S or ICU units as needed.
