General Summary of Position
The MedStar Washington Cancer Infusion Center has 27 bays and 4 beds department specializing in the administration of Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood Products the management of Sickle Cell patients in Crisis and a wide range of other medical diagnoses. The professional nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care in an ambulatory setting for patients and families . The primary duties and responsibilities include assessment of physical and psychosocial needs, patient education, assist with coordination of care, triage patient care, monitor patient symptoms and side effects of treatment.
As part of professional development 58% of the Infusion Nurses are oncology certified nurses.

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
This position has a hiring range of $40.170 - $65.308
