General Summary of Position

We are actively recruiting for a Quality Operations Coordinator to join our team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, the Quality Operations Coordinator is responsible for leading, facilitating, and administratively supporting the activities, goals, and initiatives of the Quality Division. Coordinates, executes and implements projects for the Quality Division. Provides key support and project management functions to leaders, physicians, and associates.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and support to plan, implement and coordinate projects with direction from the AVP Quality & HRO. Researches and applies evidence-based and best practice models to guide project planning. Tracks and reports on progress and milestones.
  • Provides significant support in the preparation of high-quality presentations for internal and external audiences. Create presentations incorporating text, graphics and other media sources.
  • Provides project management and works in collaboration with all hospital departments on quality and safety initiatives such as CMS stars, Leapfrog, and Vizient metrics.
  • Tracks metrics and develops analytics for qualitative analysis. Responsible for preparation and analysis of reports and owns processes for ongoing data reporting.
  • Responsible for evaluating work groups output, outcomes, reporting, and data analytics and provides feedback to the teams on performance.
  • With direction from the AVP Quality, responsible for written communications regarding updates, changes, and ongoing work etc.
  • Participates in local and system-wide projects for Quality & Safety as appropriate.
  • In coordination with the Quality Division and other internal departments, manages the Event Review outcomes measures, including gathering and editing content, and providing updates. Consult with appropriate departmental contacts to gather information and ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborates with Community Outreach in seeking opportunities for engagement with external organizations to support broad multi-stakeholder initiatives.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree ideally in Healthcare Administration or another related discipline required

    Experience

    • 1-2 years of progressively more responsible job-related experience in healthcare or healthcare related settings required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Must have an understanding of project management and be able to utilize project management concepts and tools as appropriate.
    • Ability to conduct internet research.
    • Strong writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.


    This position has a hiring range of $61,027 - $98,384
