General Summary of Position
The marketing specialist assists in the planning, execution, coordination, and measurement of promoting and on boarding new physicians with priority given to core businesses/service lines included in the MedStar Health strategic plan. In order to contribute to physician and service line location online visibility, credibility, and overall digital marketing success, the specialist will also be responsible for google citations, listings, and other online promotion. This role will also provide, when needed, project support to Marketing Directors for service line marketing.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with marketing directors to plan, coordinate, and execute all marketing activities associated with new physician and clinician on-boarding and overall physician specific marketing activities for strategic service lines. Partners with marketing directors, physician relations, and administrators to promote new providers and practice locations to external audiences.
  • Coordinates writing, editing, and design for new physician promotional materials, email and direct mail to include announcement postcards, brochures, posters/flyers while upholding the MedStar Health brand standards. Collaborates with internal stakeholders, designers, fulfillment houses, printers, mailing list vendors, and other related vendors.
  • Manages and schedules physician/clinician photoshoots, including headshot, clinically focused, and patient/clinician photoshoots. Employs project management techniques to achieve project completion on schedule and on budget.
  • Assists marketing leads with creating and maintaining physician focused digital content including online bios and Find a Doc profiles, corresponding Google citations, physician videos, and additional digital content on MedStarHealth.org.
  • Works with marketing lead to solicit content to enhance SEO for online profiles including patient videos, relevant research information, Ask a doc videos, etc.
  • Acts as a liaison with the digital marketing and provider profile teams as well as additional internal stakeholders to upload and track digital content updates on MedStarHealth.org, Google, and other relevant online platforms to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure accuracy of web content pertaining to new physicians and core service lines through periodic reviews of web pages including but not limited to campaign landing pages, service line web pages, location pages, citations, and provider profiles. Reviews should also include testing and routing of CTAs.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders on the planning and execution of physician videos including Ask a doc videos, new technology shoots, and patient testimonials. Manages, maintains, and tracks content as needed.
  • Acts as a liaison between the clinician, service line administrator, marketing leader, additional internal stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful completion of all projects.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree Marketing, Communications or Business Administration, or related field required

    Experience

    • 1-2 years Creating, writing and editing marketing communications materials for a trade association, agency and/or corporation. Previous healthcare marketing experience a plus required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Experienced with Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel Capabilities). Able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Must have strong interpersonal, writing, organizational and communication skills.


    This position has a hiring range of $58,656 - $98,384
