General Summary of Position
Conducts routine tests for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease and performs related duties following established standards and practices.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program required or
- 60 semester hours including 24 semester hours of medical lab technology, required or
- 60 semester hrs including 24 hrs of science that includes 6 hrs chemistry, 6 hrs biology and 12 hrs chemistry, biology, required or
- or medical lab tech in any combination plus laboratory training that includes either completion of a clinical lab training program required or
- 3 months training in each specialty in which high complexity testing is performed. required
Experience
- Prior work experience not required required
Licenses and Certifications
- ASCP - Medical Technologist ASCP certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
This position has a hiring range of $29.15 - $51.68
