We've cared for patients with cardiac arrhythmias since we opened the region's first program dedicated to these conditions in 1985.

We are seeking a nurse practitioner (or physician assistant) to join our Heart Rhythm team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.  In this role, the NP/PA would focus on performing consultations in the hospital and seeing patients for pre-procedure management. The NP/PA will be working with several of our experienced attending physicians whom will be trusted and supporting mentors to promote learning, growth, and career development. 

Successful applicants will have a background in cardiology and/or have experience as a clinician in the hospital setting. 

Work responsibility will be four 10-hour shifts a week Monday through Friday. No nighttime, weekend, or on-call duties.  There may be additional growth opportunities in the future for this role as outpatient clinic operations expand. 

Nurse Practitioners preferred to have ACNP certification.  FNP's considered with background in cardiology. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• NP - Nurse Practitioner  (or)   PA - Physician Assistant- Licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s). May require specialty license based on location. required and
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required 
• Superior Verbal and Written Communication Skills required
• Basic Computer Skills required with clinical EMR experience preferred
