General Summary of Position
Under general supervision operates computed tomography equipment to obtain routine images of designated body areas according to physician specification and computed tomography protocols.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Education
- Associate's degree required or
- Certificate in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or Medical Education and Training Campus (METC). required
- Prior work experience not required required
- Successful completion of a CT certificate or cross-training program preferred
- ARRT Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography (R). Upon Hire required
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification within 90 Days required
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist Licensed Radiographer - State of Maryland and/or VA (location dependent) Upon Hire
- Ability to comprehend and follow the policies and procedures for MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center.
- Ability to read write and speak or communicate in English to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the position.
- Ability to demonstrate ethical behavior that supports the hospital's mission values and commitment to compliance with all federal state and regulatory laws. Inspires trust and exhibits honesty and integrity within the scope of daily activities.

This position has a hiring range of
USD $35.68 - USD $64.71 /Hr.
