About the Job

MedStar Good Samaritan is seeking a Cardiology APP (PA or NP) to join our MedStar Good Samaritan location in Baltimore, Maryland. MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital is a 303-bed community teaching hospital located in northeast Baltimore. It is renowned for its Centers of Excellence in arthritis, joint replacement, rehabilitation, spine health, and surgical services.  MedStar Good Samaritan combines academic rigor with compassionate, community-focused care. With its warm, patient-centered environment and commitment to innovation, it remains a cornerstone of health and healing in Baltimore

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in cardiology, post-graduation, thorough documentation skills, great work ethic and be able to work autonomously while being connected regularly with non-invasive cardiologists and advanced practice providers. (Interested NPs should have acute-care based certification.) 

 

This is a Monday through Friday role and will include daily inpatient rounding and ambulatory clinic, which is in direct connection of the hospital.  This job excludes holidays, weekends, after-hour or call responsibilities.

Minimal Qualifications
Education

  • Graduation from a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program. required and
  • Bachelor's degree required and
  • Master's degree preferred

Experience

  • 1-2 years Related experience; specialty experience may be preferred based on location. required

Licenses and Certifications

  • PA - Physician Assistant NCCPA (National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. required and
  • Current license with the Maryland Board of Physicians required and
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
  • Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated effective communication and problem-solving skills.

 


This position has a hiring range of

USD $115,000.00 - USD $143,619.00 /Yr.
