MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Division of Hematology Oncology is seeking a qualified nurse practitioner to join our well-established Bone Marrow Transplant Cell-Therapy outpatient practice in Washington, DC at 3800 Reservoir Road NW. The Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Washington, D.C. region.
This position offers you the opportunity to practice independently and side-by-side with a dedicated and fellowship-trained, board certified medical hematologist oncologist. Work Monday-Friday in an academic, collegial environment with weekly administrative time. This is a 1.0FTE opportunity, with no call, no weekends or weeknight responsibilities.
The NP in this role will be responsible for writing follow-up/subsequent chemotherapy orders, performing bone marrow biopsies and providing basic support to allogeneic, autologous, CAR T-cell patients in our outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will have a chemotherapy card and experience working in malignant hematology and/or cell therapy practices. Experienced preferred in bone marrow biopsies but not required. Interested candidates will also have thorough documentation skills, great work ethic and be able to work autonomously while being connected regularly with administrative and physician support.
