About the role:
Type: Full Time Salaried
Compensation: $76,000-114,000
Location: Fully Remote, must be in the United States
Hours: Full Time Days

What to Expect:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Systems Analyst to maintain and support the integrity of our hybrid systems environments (colocation and Azure cloud) and various virtual computer systems under the direction of the Director of Infrastructure. The Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and administering a variety of VM based operating systems, as well as performing and monitoring system maintenance tasks such as backups, recovery, and system upgrades. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, communication skills (both written and oral), and the ability to perform after-hours on-call functions when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Operating System Administration:
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of VM based operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as system backups, recovery, and file maintenance.
- Ensure the stability and reliability of the operating system environment and server infrastructure.
- System Upgrades & Patch Management:
- Schedule, install, and test system software upgrades to ensure systems remain up-to-date and secure.
- Perform server patching and manage software updates to enhance security and performance.
- Active Directory & User Management:
- Maintain and manage Active Directory, including user account creation, permissions, and group policies.
- Ensure secure and efficient administration of Active Directory services.
- Technical Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to software, hardware, and network systems.
- Configure system software and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- System Monitoring & Performance:
- Monitor system performance using appropriate tools and best practices.
- Maintain and manage software licensing and maintenance agreements.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact business operations.
- Backup & Recovery:
- Administer and manage backup and recovery processes to ensure critical data and systems are protected.
- Manage IT backup software and ensure backup routines are completed successfully.
- Network & Microsoft Azure Administration:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Microsoft Azure cloud environment as directed by IT leadership.
- After-Hours Support:
- Provide after-hours on-call support as needed to resolve system issues and maintain operations.
- Other Duties:
- Gain exposure to complex tasks within the job function and provide assistance as directed.
- Audit processes and procedures in order to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory governance is being achieved
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the director or IT leadership.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
Competencies/Skills:
- Proficient in backup and recovery procedures.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory maintenance and email administration.
- Experience with licensing management, remote administration, and system monitoring.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and document complex system issues.
- Experience with VPN administration and system testing.
- Familiarity with IT backup software, network security software, and system/console operations.
- Working knowledge of multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Android, etc.).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in system administration or a related IT support role.
- 1-2 years of experience in Azure Cloud administration is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Server+, or relevant industry certifications are preferred.
- Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator is a plus.
