Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.

The Global Open Banking and API team is responsible for developing and building the future of open banking and a developer-first approach that propels innovation with our customers and partners in support of delivering choice at scale.
The Vice President, Business Administration, will play a leading role in developing and communicating the vision and strategy across business areas within Global Open Banking and API, as well as driving operational excellence for the organization. The individual will serve as Chief of Staff to the Global Head as well as a strategic consultant to the global leadership team, working cross functionally and providing thought partnership using research and data driven analysis to “connect the dots” across Mastercard, the industry, technology, and consumer trends.
Responsibilities
• Act as Chief of Staff to the Global Head of the organization, which is inclusive of executive communications as well as strategic, operational, and planning components
• Develop comprehensive end to end yearly planning for executive team including scheduling and management of key strategic customer engagements. Forward plan itineraries and schedule key updates to drive the business and maintain relationships with customer and partners including preparing briefs and materials for discussions and presentations
• Drive transparent and effective messaging and communication for both internal and external narratives intended for various audiences and channels, including executive PPT, talking points for Investor Relations, etc with the ability to clearly articulate information. Requires frequent engagement and close coordination across the business (account teams, comms, legal, product)
• Support the execution of strategic priorities and monitor performance against targets and evaluate potential challenges to implement action plans
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional leads to increase operating efficiency across the organization, providing executive visibility into progress and deliverables to better serve an evolving set of customer needs
• Lead a team to support operations across the business, including executive updates (QBRs, QORs, Scorecards) and meeting and offsite planning (Town Halls, leadership meetings, planning sessions, determine meeting cadence, schedule agendas, share notes and follow-ups)
• Responsible for driving culture through employee engagement initiatives and team events (volunteer days, lunch and learns, and more)
• Special projects and workshop facilitation to help solve complex business problems, project management specific to the leadership team needs
All About You
• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent degree. Advanced degree preferred.
• Prior experience in a global Strategy & Operations, Business Administration or Product Development/Management role
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects effectively, with proven results
• Strong project management skills - can toggle between strategic and tactical/detail-oriented views with obsessive attention to detail; strong affinity for organization and process
• Superior communication, possessing both written and presentation skills; ability to form compelling narratives and business cases
• High energy, self-starter with an entrepreneurial edge, who naturally manages by influence and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and executive presence
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment juggling and prioritizing multiple priorities while promoting flexibility to manage a diverse set of competing needs
• Comfortable embracing change and being agile; ok with ambiguity and being able to “go with the flow”
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency while exceling under pressure (e.g., fast turnarounds, leadership visibility)
• Must be able to travel with EVP, Global Head and/or leadership team both domestically and internationally and work global hours as needed
• Significant expertise in payments required. Experience in emerging technologies highly valued

Total Base Pay Range

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
