Title and Summary

Sr. Analyst, Master Data Management-2 About the Position

The Sr. Analyst of Master Data Management (MDM) is responsible for execution of Mastercard's MDM strategy across the enterprise. This role is instrumental in shaping and implementing the strategic vision for MDM initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise data governance goals.
In close partnership with business and technology stakeholders, the Sr. Analyst will operationalize MDM and governance practices to uphold the consistency, accuracy, and integrity of mastered data assets. This role demands strong cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across Franchise, Product, Corporate, Mastercard Technology, and global business units to drive and sustain the data management strategy.
As a subject matter expert in master and reference data management, this individual will represent the Office of the Chief Data Officer (CDO) in executing MDM best practices to promote enterprise-wide data excellence.

Key Responsibilities
• • Design & Implementation: Design and implement Master Data Management (MDM) solutions aligned with strategic business objectives and guided by leadership direction. Key responsibilities include gathering requirements, architecting solutions, configuring platforms such as Reltio, and maintaining ongoing operations. This role also oversees system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments, ensuring timely execution of MDM initiatives while fostering continuous improvement in data management practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and data governance teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption of MDM solutions across enterprise systems (e.g., Merchant data platform, Oracle Financials, Coupa, Salesforce, Mastercard Billing System).
• Data Quality & Governance: Partner with the data quality team to streamline data profiling, cleansing, enrichment, and lifecycle management. Monitor and report on data quality KPIs. Partner with governance teams to establish and enforce standards, frameworks, and best practices across master data domains (e.g., merchant, customer, consumer, product, supplier, legal entity).
• Automation & Integration: Drive automation of data ingestion and mastered data consumption processes. Ensure integration of MDM solutions with enterprise applications, Mastercard product and related data pipelines.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to data privacy, quality, and regulatory requirements while building global solutions.

Qualifications & Experience
• • Experience: Demonstrated experience in Master Data Management (MDM) roles within large enterprise environments, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant MDM experience and at least 1 full-cycle MDM implementations. Proven hands-on expertise in large-scale MDM platforms such as Reltio or Informatica, along with familiarity with data warehousing, analytics and ERP systems.
• Technical & Analytical Skills: Experienced data professional with strong problem-solving skills and expertise in enterprise data products and architecture. Proficient in Hadoop, Databricks, RDBMS, SQL, Alteryx, and Excel. Skilled in data integration, metadata management, and taxonomy modeling. Adept at designing scalable data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, and real-time pipelines. Proven ability to lead data strategy and unify fragmented ecosystems in complex organizations.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with master data domains relevant to the financial services and technology industries—such as merchant, customer, consumer, product, and financial master data—is preferred.
• Leadership: Implement MDM and governance frameworks, collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive change.
• Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
• Mindset: Self-starter with a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
