Job Title

Software Development Engineer in Test IIOverview

• Local Processing Solutions (LPS) is a Mastercard's Card & Payment Processing Platform. It offers Processing Platform in the market for the Credit, Debit & Pre-paid Product Flavors for the Customers in the Financial Services World. LPS target customers include Banks, Fintechs & Financial Institutions operating & engaged in C&P Businesses. In addition to the Issuing Platforms, LPS also offers ATM & POS Acquiring Platform Solutions.
The primary objective of LPS is to make the platforms more resilient, scalable & robust in order to target the growing processing business opportunities in the region, eventually leading to higher volumes of transactions for their Customers on the Platform as well as within the Mastercard Network.
• This position will be responsible for driving best practices for exploratory and automated testing within MasterCard in working with teams to delivers applications and solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders, including consumers, merchants, issuers and governments.

Role

• Develop automated test scripts and execute to ensure software meets business and security requirements and established practices.
• Coordinate and participate in requirements review/story elaborations and testing activities to deliver high quality products and incremental value with every iteration.
• Own responsibility for end-to-end product quality including: defect management and oversight, status reporting and metrics creation, and escalation for issues discovered during the testing phase
• Review project test and implementation schedules. Document test plans and acceptance criteria using, Rally or such solution life cycle management tools.
• Develop business and product knowledge over time and share such knowledge to mentor newer team members.

All About You

• Expertise in software development to build and use automation frameworks using technologies: Java, JUnit, Selenium, JBehave, Soap UI/Pro, REST, and XML
• Experience testing across a variety of platforms: APIs - REST and SOAP.
• Ability to create good acceptance and integration test automation scripts and integrate with Continuous integration (Jenkins/Bamboo) and code coverage tools (Sonar, Clover) to ensure 80% or higher code coverage.
• Expertise of agile and waterfall testing methodologies and tools such as RALLY etc.
• Experience in both Unit and Integration testing needs with exposure to unit testing frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience developing high quality test strategies and test execution
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, critical thinking and good communication.

• This Position requires firm knowledge and hands on software development and architecture skills to work closely with developers and leads to build test automation frameworks, test infrastructure, and perform code analysis/review to enable development quality.
Role :
• Position will lead the development of automated testing frameworks within an application delivery team and be able to author automated test suites with code, front end GUI automation, service layer testing and simulator automation.
• This position will own complete quality functional areas and must be able to define test and environment strategies.
• This position will provide technical leadership on areas of execution for functional, non- functional, white box, integration and reliability testing for web/API based applications keeping automation and self-service in mind.
• Drive adoption of quality practices early in the life cycle through improved unit testing and code coverage, acceptance test automation, quality gating reviews for promotion of software, and continuous integration.
• Proactively monitor customer insights and production issues to seek quality feedback and improve processes to enhance quality of the product/capability that the position is responsible for.
• Position needs to focus on understanding of customer, product value, and product logical architecture holistically to develop test strategies covering all quality touchpoints: functional, non-functional, and user experience areas.

All About You :
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with hand on technical and quality engineering skills.
• Sound knowledge of Java, Eclipse IDE, Spring, JUnit, SOAP UI Pro, Selenium, QTP, Appium, Jbehave/Cucumber frameworks, Databases, APIs (REST/SOAP).
• Exposure to DevOps practices (Continuous Integration and Delivery, Tools such as Jenkins/Bamboo) desirable but not mandatory.
• Experience in testing Web services and Web projects across a variety of platforms (PC, mobile, Multiple OS/Browsers) – specific focus on cross browser and cross device test strategies.
• Experience in modern test techniques such as Test and Behavior Driven Development (TDD and BDD).
• Excellent technical acumen and ability to learn new software quickly. Solid leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to drive change.
• Expertise in agile and waterfall delivery, life-cycle management tools (Rally), software testing standards, methods and conventions.
• Exposure to software security and crypto testing practices preferable but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, critical thinking, solid communication and proven leadership skills - with the ability to lead multiple test paths simultaneously and communicate results.
