Title and Summary

Senior Vice President, Strategic Benefits, Core Payments Shape the future of Mastercard's Consumer Products value proposition by leading the design and delivery of core strategic benefits that elevate cardholder experience and drive competitive differentiation.

As part of the Consumer Product and Processing (CPP) function within Core Payments, Cardholder Services is responsible for building and managing benefits carrying a dual mandate to (i) uniquely differentiate Mastercard's core customer value proposition (CVP) across all card types and (ii) deliver services revenues through the sale of optional benefits. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end execution of new strategic benefits across 3 pillars: travel, dining, entertainment; and potentially expanding into supporting additional strategic categories over time. In the beginning, focus will be especially on the delivery of exclusive airport benefits (travel pillar) and dining benefits.

You will be accountable for the full lifecycle of benefit development, from concept to launch and transition to run mode. This includes identifying and qualifying benefit opportunities, sourcing and negotiating with vendors, designing the product and user experience, building the business case and pricing model, and ensuring successful go-to-market execution. You will also define the long-term roadmap for continued innovation and expansion of the strategic benefits portfolio.

This is a highly cross-functional role requiring close collaboration with teams across CPP, Mastercard's global and regional organizations, and external partners. You will work in close alignment with executive leadership, ensuring strategic clarity and operational excellence throughout the delivery process.

This role is a great mix of high impact strategy, product management, and fast paced project execution that would set you up as successful senior executive in Mastercard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end development and execution of new core strategic benefits, with initial focus on travel airport experiences and exclusive dining partnerships
• Define and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with Mastercard's CVP strategy and growth objectives
• Identify and evaluate sourcing options, negotiate commercial agreements, and manage vendor relationships
• Design seamless user experiences and go-to-market strategies that drive adoption and engagement
• Build and refine business cases, pricing models, and financial forecasts to support benefit development and expansion
• Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams including for example technology, sourcing, marketing, and user experience design to ensure integrated execution
• Influence technology and architecture decisions to deliver a scalable, secure, and resilient product, and to deliver product incrementally, starting with a clearly aligned minimum viable product
• Maintain strong feedback loops with executive leadership and working teams to ensure alignment and transparency
• Act as a senior leader within CPP, fostering collaboration, removing and escalating blockers, and driving results across global and regional teams
• Lead and manage a team of talented benefit category leads

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• 10+ years proven track record of delivering strategic projects and launching new products in complex, cross-functional environments
• Customer-centric product development experience
• Deep experience as a senior leader in the travel or dining industry, with specific expertise in airport experiences
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to build business cases, manage budgets, and own P&L responsibilities
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage third-party vendor relationships and commercial agreements
• Clear and compelling communicator, with experience influencing senior executive audiences and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders
• Strong cross-functional mindset with the ability to lead diverse project teams and navigate organizational complexity
• Passionate people leader who attracts, develops, and retains top talent; committed to coaching and feedback
• Embodies Mastercard's Way and it leadership principles and champions a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability
• Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. engineering, economics) and or an MBA

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in both travel and dining sectors, with a strong network of industry partners
• Recognized as a thought leader and innovator in the Affluent or lifestyle benefits space
• Demonstrated ability to scale new offerings globally while adapting to regional needs and regulatory environments
• Strong understanding of customer experience design and digital product integration

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
