We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on Java-based Microservice API development that powers mission-critical products and services.
Role:
• Design, develop, and deploy secure, high-performance microservices using Java, Spring and Spring Boot.
• Build RESTful APIs using Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security frameworks, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Ensure that all solutions adhere to security best practices and comply with organizational, industry, and regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with Product Managers, Technical Leads, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Lead by example in delivering high-quality code and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to security, performance, and coding standards.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring system reliability and stability.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering teams to achieve comprehensive test coverage through unit, integration, system, and performance testing.
• Drive continuous improvements in system performance, security posture, and user experience.
• Contribute to research and prototyping of new technologies, frameworks, and tools that can advance team capabilities
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while aligning with solution architecture, security requirements, and infrastructure capabilities.
• Promote and apply best practices for secure coding, test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD).
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Strong programming skills in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Proven expertise in building RESTful APIs using Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering backend software applications in a microservices architecture.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and secure software development practices.
• Solid experience integrating REST web services and working with application servers.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native development and exposure to PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) or similar platforms is an advantage.
• Exposure to Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring and observability tools is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to front-end frameworks like Angular or React and an understanding of front-end principles is a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to lead discussions on system design, security considerations, and performance optimizations.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience building secure, cloud-ready, scalable applications in the payment network or financial services domain.
• Exposure to Continuous Delivery pipelines and automated deployment tools.
• Demonstrated ability to balance technical leadership, mentoring, and hands-on delivery.
