Title and Summary

Senior Coordinator, Settlement Operations Overview
As part of the team in Peterborough, you will provide the necessary day-to-day operational support with treasury, settlement and reconciliation activities, including the timely and accurate processing of receivables and payables, as well as the accurate recording and reconciliation of transactions in financial systems. You will get the opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders. You will work in a team environment and will have the opportunity to cross train on a variety of operational processes to ensure that they are fully operational through team absences.
Role
• Daily processing of receivable and payable entries, coding to appropriate ledger accounts
• Inputting the daily outgoing payments into various banking portals
• Raising adjustment journals to the ledger affecting both P&L and balance sheet
• Act as point of escalation for internal and external payment queries
• Ensure processes are executed within internal and external standards
• Participate in the training of treasury, settlement and reconciliation activities to meet cross training and BCP requirements
• Participate and support the team and manager with ad hoc projects as required by the business or process improvement initiatives

All About You

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following key skills:
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines demonstrating effective time management and organisational skills
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products, with good experience of Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong team player comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Hold an appreciation for basic accounting principles (exposure to Oracle is advantageous but not essential)
• Demonstrate drive to take on new challenges and responsibilities
