The Risk Management & Insurance Department is a crucial component of Mastercard, dedicated to safeguarding the company's assets and ensuring operational continuity. This department is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential risks that could adversely affect the organization. It manages various financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks. The team works closely with other departments to develop risk management strategies and implement insurance solutions that effectively transfer or mitigate these risks. Key functions include conducting risk assessments, managing claims, procuring insurance policies, and maintaining comprehensive records of all insurance-related activities.
This internship can help accelerate top risk management talent while working with a close group of risk management and insurance professionals. The intern will participate in the tactical execution of our risk management activities that support the corporate strategy, including insurance portfolio management, captive insurance company administration, counter-party risk assessment, and more.

All About You:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or accelerated master's program, graduating Dec 2025 to June 2027. Risk Management degree path preferred
• Innovative thinking and thoughtful risk-taking
• Ability to partner across the organization
• Sound communication skills

Compensation: $25-$32/hr

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
