Title and Summary
Principal Information Security Engineer The candidate will be responsible for conducting the technology due diligence in support of M&A initiatives such as acquisitions, Joint Ventures and minority/majority investments. In this role, the candidate will join a virtual DD team comprised of SMEs assigned to a specific acquisition effort to conduct the due diligence working with the target company, the Mastercard business unit sponsors and the Mastercard Corporate Development M&A Team.The candidate will be responsible for assessing the information security impacting aspects of the key drivers of the deal, developing a security strategy, high level solution architecture and security costs to support the value drivers.
The candidate will be accountable to deliver the diligence findings, develop a post-acquisition security integration approach and provide the integration cost estimates.
- Leading technical due diligence projects for Acquisitions, Joint Ventures and Majority/Minority Investments
- Representing MasterCard Worldwide while meeting with key executives and technology leadership at target companies
- Leading development of integration approach, estimating costs across all information security groups
- Participate in the development and review of legal documents in relation to information security (purchase agreement, transition services agreement, closing conditions)
- Quantifying and communicating security impacts during business case development during acquisitions.
- Ability to come up with outstanding resolutions for various issues related to the information security enterprise solution
- Comprehending and providing assistance in arranging the information and data needs by working in cooperation with the Operation Technology team
- Expert knowledge in Information Security industry best practices
- PCI knowledge
- Broad knowledge of security devices and tools
- Self-starter, collaborative, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate to broad audiences at all levels of the organization engineering staff up through C level
- Experience in evaluating security capabilities of 3rd parties (due diligence, commercial engagements, and strategic partnerships).
- Experience managing development projects plans and estimates
- Experience managing information Security related projects
- Must have the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment
