OFin, Product Management Director, Product Commercialisation – Open Finance (Europe)Overview
Open Finance is accelerating across Europe as banks, fintechs, issuers, acquirers, PSPs, and digital platforms adopt new API driven models. Mastercard is building an API led Open Finance platform, commercialising:
- Open Banking Data (AIS)
- Open Banking Payments (PIS)
- Mastercard Network Data (supporting improved decisioning, optimisation and customer journeys)
Our mission is to combine these capabilities to enable next generation digital experiences across payments, onboarding, lending, SME workflows and multi rail journeys.
We are seeking a Director, Product Commercialisation – Open Finance to help shape, position, and scale these propositions across Europe. This role sits at the intersection of product, commercial, and market development, translating deep subject matter expertise into compelling customer value
Responsibilities
Commercialisation and go to market leadership
- Shape the commercial value proposition and customer narrative for Mastercard's Open Finance solutions
- Partner with sales teams to qualify opportunities, support client engagement, and advance opportunities through the pipeline
- Develop repeatable pre sales materials and go to market frameworks aligned to priority customer segments
- Support execution of complex deals by providing senior product and data expertise.
Deep AIS/PIS and Open Banking expertise
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert across Account Information Services (AIS) and Payment Initiation Services (PIS), translating capability into tangible business value for customers
- Advise on high value use cases such as onboarding, affordability, lending, risk reviews, SME servicing and improved payment experiences
- Provide structured customer insight to inform the Open Banking product roadmap
Unified Open Finance proposition development
- Bring together Mastercard's Open Banking and Network Data capabilities into a clear, integrated commercial narrative
- Identify opportunities where combining datasets creates differentiated and scalable value across Europe
- Build strong customer feedback loops to guide product prioritisation and roadmap evolution.
All About You
Essential experience
- Deep understanding of the Open Banking landscape, including AIS, PIS, and API driven connectivity models
- Track record commercialising or influencing technically complex data or API products across multiple European markets
- Ability to develop compelling value propositions and translate technical capabilities into commercial outcomes
- Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles and shaping large scale client solutions
- Comfortable operating in evolving, fast moving environments with a strategic, problem solving mindset
Skills and competencies
- Strong commercial acumen and structured analytical thinking
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable simplifying complex concepts
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally
- Demonstrated success working cross functionally with product, commercial and technical teams
- Customer first mindset with an aptitude for uncovering needs and shaping propositions to meet them
