Manager, Strategy Pricing & Interchange Manager – Strategy Pricing & Interchange, South Asia

The Strategy Pricing & Interchange function manages all aspects of customer economics using pricing and interchange, a strategically important aspect of our business.

Role:
• This role supports the ‘Customer Economics' function for South Asia Market.
• Customer Economics responsibilities would entail an understanding of Payments business and associated revenues for various stakeholders, understanding of payment transaction flows, ability to build financial models, competence in data analysis to gather useful insights, understanding of regulatory guidelines, among others. The role is expected to support the business driving growth for Mastercard by developing a balanced framework of Customer Economics factoring in local market realities.

• The role is expected to interface with multiple stakeholders both internally and with an assigned customer set.

• A candidate high on energy with solid analytical skills, comfort with data/numbers, deep sense of accountability and ownership, strong execution focus, and a collaborative mindset, would be most likely to succeed in the role.

• This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP, Strategy & Business Management or their delegate.
Role/Responsibilities
• Support development and execute a sound strategy to maintain a balanced Customer Economics framework for customers of Mastercard in South Asia by necessary interventions in Pricing and Interchange

• Use necessary tools and knowledge to achieve this objective, such as financial modelling, data analysis, competition benchmarking, regulatory scan, etc.

• Work with MasterCard regional and global cross functional teams, as well as local Sales and Business Development teams, to understand business priorities and execute accordingly
All about You:
• Past experience in Pricing/Business Analytics/Forecasting & Reporting would be desirable
• Candidates having experience in Payments or Banking would be preferred
• Candidate must be able to integrate knowledge across disciplines, including sales, product, marketing, operations, finance and risk.
• Self-driven, organized and pro-active with strong influencing and negotiation skills
• Able to multi-task and work well in a small team leveraging colleagues' skills
• Commercially focused with good analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High proficiency in using analytical tools and applications, including MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
• Collaborative and consultative approach; ability to partner well with regional and global teams
• Post Graduate preferred.
