Title and Summary

Manager, Settlement Operations – Business Financial Support Overview
The Mastercard® Send™ platform and services enable secure, near real-time payment transfers to and from billions of card, bank and digital accounts globally. Program Participants (banks, businesses, digital players and more) can modernize the way they send money, domestically and cross-border, making funds available to recipients almost instantly. Mastercard Send is proven to increase user spend and engagement, strengthening core business performance.

The Manager, Settlement Operations is an individual contributor role reporting into the Direct of Settlement Operations and is a key contributor on our Business Financial Support team. This position will be responsible for day-to-day transaction and exception reconciliation, settlement validations, as well as reporting for our customers and business. They will interact with the product team and at times with our customers to monitor and ensure final settlement and customer's ability to reconcile their activity.

The Manager would ensure the completeness and accuracy of reporting on a daily basis and develop such as the company enters into new markets. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, analytical, and possesses an inherent drive to learn the depths of their responsibilities and how the product supports our customers and organization.

Role
• Reconciliation of 3rd party network positions versus internally generated positions.
• Daily reconciliation of multiple networks to API transactional data to ensure accurate settlement and reporting to sponsor banks and partners.
• Investigation and resolution of out of balances between settlement and reporting.
• Partner with appropriate teams on all settlement and system issues.
• Perform manual recovery of rejects and other variances as required through fee collections.
• Research any variances and resolve in a timely manner to reduce financial impact.
• Responsible for updating reporting when out of balances occur.
• Create and initiate ACH instructions when required.

All About You
The ideal candidate will be someone who is:
• Detail oriented with a strong accounting and reconciliation background
• Strong experience supporting global markets.
• Experience with foreign currencies and foreign exchange.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to identify and escalate issues with proposed solutions and impact to key stakeholders.
• Effectively prioritizes work to be done with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to be customer facing at times and assist with customer settlement queries.
• Advanced Microsoft suite experience, specifically Excel and Access Databases.
• Knowledge and understanding of the settlement process preferred
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or similar analytical field. MBA preferred.
