The Franchise Growth & Enablement team supports sustainable growth of the Mastercard ecosystem by managing customer onboarding, lifecycle activities, and ecosystem governance. The Manager role in LAC will be focused on the management and oversight of High Risk Acquirers and Specialty Merchants, ensuring appropriate registration, licensing, and ongoing compliance with Mastercard standards and local requirements.
This role partners closely with customers and internal teams to support effective ecosystem participation, enable scale, and maintain a well governed and transparent Franchise environment.

Role
The Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing activities related to high risk acquirers, specialty merchants, and related payment facilitators across the LAC region.
Key responsibilities include:
• Manage and oversee acquirers, specialty merchants, and payment facilitator lifecycle activities, including registration, licensing supplements, and program participation.
• Identify acquirers, merchants, payment facilitators, and other ecosystem participants requiring registration or additional enablement, and coordinate completion of required processes.
• Act as a primary point of contact for customers on administrative, onboarding, and ecosystem requirements related to high risk acquirer and specialty merchant participation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Risk, AML, Regulatory, Account Management, and Global Franchise teams) to support end to end execution.
• Maintain dashboards, trackers, and reporting to provide visibility into ecosystem status, progress, and priorities.
• Support non compliance case management activities, including coordination, tracking, and execution of required actions.
• Support Franchise Solutions in partnership with Consulting Services, acting as a subject matter expert for trainings, reviews, performance optimization projects, and enablement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance the customer experience, and support regional growth objectives.

All About You
• Solid understanding of card payments and merchant ecosystems, including the payment lifecycle and foundational knowledge of fraud and chargebacks.
• Experience in financial services, payments, or a regulated environment, with exposure to customer lifecycle management or ecosystem administration.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Analytical mindset with experience working with data, reports, and documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain requirements and work effectively with customers.
• Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable operating in a matrixed, regional environment.
• Business Process background.
• Results oriented, detail focused, and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Solid project management and process improvement skills, highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Bilingual Spanish and English, both written and spoken; Portuguese is a plus.
