Core Payments' Transaction Stream (TS) powers Mastercard's real‑time, high‑volume switching across global markets. As a Lead Product Manager – Technical , you will define product vision, drive network‑critical feature delivery, strengthen authorization and clearing accuracy, and ensure reliability in a deeply technical based environment.

This role combines platform product leadership, technical depth, and cross‑functional execution.

Role

Own the feature template document and vision for feature releases.

Identify platform gaps and charter new platform capabilities as needed.

Leverage research, user studies, metrics to understand platform and business needs.

Compare competitive features to inform prioritization and release scope.

Make trade‑off decisions on platform features balancing technical, operational, and business constraints.

Use runtime metrics as a feedback loop to refine backlog priorities and drive iterative improvement.

Demonstrate expertise in the platform feature area and align with interdependent teams across Core Payments.

Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, and platform requirements for feature sets.

Set release goals, prioritize features based on value, and adjust scope during implementation as needed.

Monitor feature development continuously at the feature level.

Review engineering demos against acceptance criteria for assigned features.

.Align with GTM plans for features and upcoming releases.

Identify risks or obstacles to delivery and escalate proactively to leadership.

Partner with internal teams and customer service to classify and prioritize feature‑level customer issues.

Develop new operational metrics, partner with engineering to build dashboards/reports, and monitor performance.

Coordinate internal forums to gather platform and feature development opportunities.

Own and maintain product documentation, enabling self‑service and reducing operational overhead.

Build a strong internal network and begin establishing external connections as needed.

Mentor team members and contribute to talent development.

Support candidate selection and onboarding for new PMT hires.



All About You

7+ years in product management, including 4+ years in payments switching, clearing, network processing, or comparable low‑latency transactional systems.

Strong understanding of ISO 8583 and and issuer/acquirer message flows.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Technical fluency in distributed systems, resiliency patterns and service reliability

Demonstrated ability to drive cross‑functional decision‑making and influence engineering, operations, and business teams.
