Title and Summary

ITAM is leading the effort to continually mature our Asset Management Lifecycle and overall Governance of such. We are continually looking to expand our effort of moving beyond Asset Inventory to Asset Management and are looking to expand strategically in all aspects of ITAM with a focus in 2025 on the Software Asset Lifecycle.
Role
Looking for a Lead Asset Management Analyst who can lean in with experience in ITAM generally but more specifically Software License and Asset Management. This role will expand and help navigate our maturity journey in the Software License Management (SLM) arena. The position will be part of an existing Software Asset Management team and help to determine areas of focus, opportunities for enhancement in technology and process.
In addition to generally strong ITAM experiences, we are looking for knowledge in Software License Management in a large complex organization. Opportune would be someone who has experience with industry leading SLM tools (ServiceNow preferred) and experience with SLM lifecycle exposure.
Working with Managers of Software, Hardware & Digital ITAM to ensure proper care and feeding. Working with ITAM process owner and Technical leads on ensuring technical integration and providing insights in how to most effectively utilize these tools and technologies.
Competencies
• Proficiency in using IT Asset Management tools such as ServiceNow, iLMT, Flexera, or similar platforms to track, manage, and report on software assets.
• In-depth knowledge of software license management and compliance requirements. This includes understanding various licensing models and ensuring proper license utilization and reporting.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards such as ISO, FBA, RBI, PSS, DORA, and other industry-specific regulations that impact software asset management.
• Ability to analyse software ITAM data, generate reports, and interpret findings to identify compliance issues and trends.
• Strong project management skills to oversee software ITAM compliance initiatives, manage timelines, and coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Experience in process improvement methodologies such as ITIL to enhance software ITAM compliance processes and practices.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with IT, procurement, legal, Asset owner and other departments for software assets. Ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
• BS degree in related field involving Data Analytics, Process Management, etc, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, data investigation.
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
• Experience in general asset management governance and lifecycle management.
• We support many different stakeholders. Experience in dealing with difficult situations and making decisions with a sense of urgency is needed.
• Interest in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• We need team members with an appetite for change and pushing the boundaries of what can be done with automation.
