Director, Product Management - Real-Time Payments Job Title: Director, Product Management – Real-Time Payments
Location: Mexico City

Role Overview
As the Director of Product Management for Real-Time Payments, you will be responsible for the strategic evolution and day-to-day management of our instant payment solutions. You will lead the solution crafting that will bridge the gap between complex technical infrastructure and commercial go-to-market strategies to drive market penetration and profitability.

Major Accountabilities
• Strategy & Roadmap Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies and multi-year roadmaps for Real-Time Payment rails to ensure maximum penetration of key market segments.
• Performance & Lifecycle Management: Define and approve change control processes and manage critical vendor/partner relationships.
• Requirement Architecture: Define and collaborate to create complex business and technical requirements. Manage the relationship with the Global Technology Organization to build out scalable, high-concurrency platforms.
• Opportunity Assessment & Validation: Conduct rigorous opportunity assessments on new concepts, alias-based addressing, and real-time cross-border settlements. Coordinate the execution of advertising, promotional, and sales programs to meet objectives
• Go-To-Market Execution: Lead the implementation of programs to increase adoption in both established and emerging markets. Execute business plans that promote the value of instant settlement and irrevocable payment certainty and promote the value and profitability of MasterCard acceptance
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Coordinate with customer-facing teams and third-party fintechs to enhance existing offerings and design product-marketing strategies that span the entire product life cycle.
• Financial Stewardship: Engage in business case development and financial modeling to ensure the profitability of payment products and the optimization of transaction margins.

Education & Experience
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Professional Experience: 8–10 years of experience in payments or fintech, with a minimum of 3 years in a management/leadership capacity.
• Domain Expertise: Extensive experience in New Product Development within the payments ecosystem, specifically with instant clearing and settlement systems.
• Analytical Rigor: Proven track record in market analysis, financial modeling, and complex project management.

• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to interact and coordinate effectively with internal technical resources and external global business partners.
• Agile Leadership: Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Technical Literacy: Familiarity with API-first architecture, cloud-based ledger systems, and real-time fraud monitoring tools.

Work Conditions
• General office environment with flexibility for hybrid arrangements 2 times/ week.
• Domestic and international travel may be required.
