Title and Summary
Director, AI Enablement & Transformation OverviewAs AI transforms how we work, Mastercard is committed to preparing our people, processes, and culture for this shift. The Director of AI Enablement & Transformation will lead enterprise-wide efforts to embed AI fluency, foster adoption, and ensure responsible change management through deep technical and product understanding. This role will partner across Core, Services, Foundry, Tech, and L&D teams to drive readiness strategies that empower employees, drive adoption, and align with Mastercard's AI governance framework.
The Role
Lead AI Transformation Initiatives
- Design and execute enterprise-wide readiness strategies to support AI adoption across Core, Services and Tech.
- Partner with L&D to scale AI fluency programs, learning journeys, and mentorship models.
- Define and track success metrics (e.g., EX survey AI fluency scores, operational efficiency and adoption KPIs).
- Identify and close resource gaps (tools, tech stacks, activation opportunities).
Drive Change Management for AI Integration
- Apply structured change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR) to guide teams through AI-related shifts in roles, tools, and workflows.
- Develop communication plans, implement training programs, and create product feedback loops to support sustainable adoption and improved efficiencies.
Champion Culture and Engagement
- Foster a culture of sharing of best practices, cross functional collaboration around AI.
- Lead community engagement efforts such as innovation challenges, design thinking workshops and knowledge sharing events.
- Leverage platforms like the AI & Data Science Community and “15 Days of AI” campaign to activate cultural transformation for specific use cases such as product or engineering AI adoption.
All About You
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide change initiatives in a technology-driven environment.
- Deep understanding of change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR) and organizational development.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with AI concepts, tools, and governance principles; experience with AI enablement is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset; comfortable defining and tracking KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to work across functions including AI Ops, Governance, Product, Technology, and P&C.
- Technical acumen including familiarity with the software development lifecycle, requirements documentation and data governance.
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Business, Technology or related field; advanced degree preferred.
