Position Summary: # Mary Greeley Medical Center is seeking a Performance Improvement intern for Summer 2025 in the Quality Management department.#The Performance Improvement Intern will learn aspects of healthcare quality and patient safety and the organization#s day-to-day operations with guidance from department leaders. Job duties will vary depending on the student interests and needs of the organization. Most will include duties in performance improvement, patient experience, patient safety, and quality. The intern provides non-clinical support and completes project work at MGMC for areas in need to gain perspective of operations with the goal of future work in a healthcare quality role. This will look like: # Working alongside Performance Improvement, Quality, Patient Experience and Patient Safety professionals to understand quality concepts. Supporting strategic initiatives including redesigning work of the workforce to meet short and long term objectives. Rounding in patient care areas for safety and experience data collection. Completing assigned projects related to performance improvement or quality that align with the intern#s specialty, area of interest, and needs of MGMC. # # # Qualifications, Knowledge # Experience: Interest in quality, leadership, education, and business development. Current college student in good standing majoring in business, data analytics, healthcare administration, or#related field. Understanding of Lean Six Sigma and/or PDCA cycle preferred but not required.# Proficient understanding of Microsoft products. Excellent communication skills.# #
