Job Summary

Execute daily tasks to ensure successful implementation of (and in compliance with) government regulations, the DRS Proxy Agreement (PA) requirements, DRS Security policies and procedures, and physical security programs and/or activities at the site level.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor sensitive aspects of the Department of Defense (DoD) or other industrial security program to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures
  • Assist with execution of typical security related issues may include physical access to buildings, room, couriers, clearances, packages, documentation and debriefings
  • Coordinate with government agencies and management personnel to develop and implement security procedures 
  • Monitor and conduct security briefings and security education programs
  • Investigate or oversee the investigation of losses and security violations and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain liaison with outside agencies and keep upper management informed of all security activities
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures, as well as coordinating procedure manual revisions
  • May provide work leadership for lower-level employees
  • May serve as Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) as necessary
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Associate's degree (highly preferred)
  • Industrial and physical security training (FSO/CDSE course completion)
  • Working knowledge of DoD or other industrial security program is required
  • 2+ years of direct experience
  • Capable of multitasking security activities in a fast paced, multifaceted environment
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with peers, other DRS functions and external customers
  • Must be able to interpret current government regulations and procedures
  • Must have the ability to work well with customers, peers, and management
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint

 

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

 

The salary range for this position is $75,956/year-$108,617/year. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
