Apply basic engineering principles to perform routine time studies, lean practices, process development, fabrication instructions, modification and/or evaluation in support of manufacturing operations.

• Apply basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation in support of manufacturing operations 
• May prepare plans, conduct support studies, provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations
• Responsibilities are limited in scope
• Follow standard practices/procedures in analyzing situations or data 
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of products.  Troubleshoot and diagnoses problems with existing products and makes modifications and improvements as needed.  Compile and evaluate product design and test data.  Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products.  Working knowledge of statistical techniques in development such as Design of Experiments and SPC.
   

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field and 0+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
• Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics

The expected pay scale for this position is $78,360/year - $110,000/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly. When extending an offer of employment, DRS Daylight Solutions considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate's relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.
