Job SummaryWe're looking for an innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic continuing engineering team. In this role, you'll help maintain and optimize complex mechanical systems and components in production. Your technical expertise will be key in driving improvements and ensuring everything meets performance, safety, and reliability standards.
Job Responsibilities- Investigate product or process issues and implement expedient cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing engineers, production test personnel, hardware engineers, other mechanical engineers, and designers in support of critical production of these systems.
- Responsible for helping to meet critical production schedules and budgets on multiple programs with completion of technical activities of moderate complexity.
- Review and ensure compliance to Customer and contract specifications and performance requirements.
- Contribute to the mechanical design, analysis, development and testing of electronic, power and control systems and sub-systems, from concept to production.
- Apply Design for X (DfX) methodologies including but not limited to Design for Cost, Design for Test, and Design for Manufacturability into the products being developed.
- Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
- Participate in preparation of moderately complex proposals
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or applicable engineering discipline
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in the design and development of mechanical packaging of electronic systems, preferably in controls, power conversion or electric drive systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment
- Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools such as CREO, Siemens NX, and ANSYS, or equivalent
- An understanding of thermal management, shock and vibration structural design, and reliability engineering principles
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
