Job SummaryWe are seeking a Pricing Manager to lead our team in developing, evaluating, and implementing strategic pricing models for government contracting. This role will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with corporate policies, DCAA requirements, and applicable regulations, and provide expert guidance to senior management on cost and pricing matters.
What You Will Do- Responsible for the direct management of activities within the Pricing Department and provide leadership to
staff. - Manage day-to-day activities related to the development, evaluation and implementation of pricing strategies
and models. - Ensure that all pricing analyses are conducted in compliance with corporate policies and procedures and all
applicable laws and regulations. - Ensure compliance with Pricing policies and procedures and DCAA requirements.
- Interface with outside or internal auditors as necessary.
- Recommend pricing strategies that best utilize staff to achieve long- and short-range goals.
- Review and recommend estimates of labor, material, equipment, and other direct cost structures.
- Ensure staff's compliance with cost and pricing volume, establishing, and coordinating schedules, cost/price
model development, and cost narrative. - Ensure the completion of assignments within extremely tight and strict proposal schedules.
- Draft new policies and procedures and/or revise existing ones for approval.
- Prepare and maintain a comprehensive set of Standard Operating Procedures for the department.
- Ensure the development and implementation of pricing databases and proposals across the organization.
- Foster career development for departmental staff.
- Determine group and individual training needs, develop curriculum, and coordinate internal or outside training.
- Prepare, review, and approve performance appraisals and conduct performance reviews.
- Initiate, prepare, and manage Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) when performance is unsatisfactory.
- Select, train, develop, mentor, and supervise staff.
- Complete Price Analyst II/III responsibilities as required.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulations, laws, and best practices.
- Provide advice and assistance in pricing matters to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline with 7+ years of directly related experience in a government contracting environment including supervisory/management experience (or equivalent combination of education and
experience). - Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of the FAR, DFAR & CAS.
- Advanced knowledge of all types of contracts (T&M, CPAF, CPIF, CPFF, FFP) and cost/price analysis.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- ProPricer experience preferred.
