Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager Financial Reporting, Analysis and Planning, this position will be responsible for completing financial analyses and providing data-driven insights on financial performance, both retrospective and prospective, in support of strategic decision making across Leonardo DRS and for use in the development of financial projections and performance commitments.  The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will play a crucial role in the maturation of corporate financial planning processes and the development of best practices that ensure efficient and effective FP&A operations.  This role will support the corporate financial leadership team while also engaging directly with the each of the business units.

Job Responsibilities

•    Collect and review financial information from various sources across the corporation and its business units.
•    Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
•    Develop and maintain financial models for various key performance indicators from the various financial statements and across the lines of business.
•    Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the enterprise to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
•    Support the monthly financial performance and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and management reporting.
•    Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
•    Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
•    Identify and resolve problems, sometimes highly complex, through relentless root cause and corrective action implementation.
•    Assess the needs of the corporation, prioritize projects and drive planning and analysis requirements to completion.
•    Manage deadlines and meet them with quality and accuracy.
•    Maintain appropriate records and documentation.
•    Responsible for the employment, training motivation and discipline of direct reports.
 

Qualifications

•    8+ years relevant financial reporting experience, defense industry experience a plus
•    Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or MBA preferred.

The pay scale for this position is $96,000/year  - $129,000/year. The pay scale information is a general guideline only. Several factors can influence the pay scale for a position including but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
