Position Summary:
The Warehouse Lead—North Jackson is responsible for leading the North Jackson warehouse shipping, receiving and transfer functions. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for all administrative duties, printing packing lists, printing orders, checking order accuracy, and communicating with management and customer service team regarding outbound orders. This position is responsible for communicating open and candidly throughout the organization. This position also oversees the continual development for staff and self-development. Distribute, organize workloads, and set goals for performance and deadlines in a way that comply with the company's plans and vision while promoting Safety. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.
Shift: 7am-4:30pm
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
- Manage and organize all the daily activities of the Warehouse Staff.
- Analyze inventory issues and research discrepancies
- Report slow moving, close coded, and out of code product to warehouse manager
- Distribute signed BOLs from all outbound orders
- Ensure all outbound orders are checked for 100% accuracy
- Print and distribute outbound orders. Audit orders prior to notifying customer service.
- Audit all transfer paperwork for accuracy
- Manage efficient product rotation using FEFO and FIFO methods while maintain proper lot codes
- Assist the Inventory Manager with Daily Cycle Counting to maintain a 99% or better inventory accuracy rate
- Train Warehouse Staff on job duties, company procedures and policies while promoting safety
- Develop staff through continuous improvement training and motivation
- Ensure warehouse facility is in accordance with JZC facility standard
TRANSFER PRODUCT BETWEEN FACILITIES
- Manage and organize all the daily transfers between facilities
- Working in conjunction with the Production Department and John Zidian Company Warehouse Team, manage the efficient overall flow of raw material and finished goods between company owned facilities to maintain timely movement of product
- Audit all transfer paperwork for accuracy and timeliness to maintain an inventory accuracy rate of 99% or better.
- Supervise the loading and unloading of trucks
- Set and maintain productivity levels for staff
- Develop staff through continuous improvement training and motivation
- Respond to customers both external and internal by communicating in person, email, fax and / or telephone and pack orders for 100% on time delivery
WAREHOUSE SANITATION
- Always maintain good housekeeping practice
- Assign daily/weekly tasks to maintain cleanliness in warehouse/office areas.
Responsible for working safely 100% of the time.
- Responsible for being educated and knowledgeable in safety rules and regulations; manage, educate and promote safety for all employees in their duties

EQUIPMENT CERTIFICATION:
- Forklift
- Reach Truck
- Electric and manual jacks
- Proficient in Electronic Computer use to include proficiency in Microsoft Suite Software to include Excel Spreadsheets; knowledge of Great Plains Software would be helpful; comprehension and ability to utilize warehousing scanning equipment and software packages
EDUCATION:
- BS or BA Degree in Business Management and/or minimum of 2 years' experience
- Supervision experience
- Ability to develop personnel and equipment structures to support present and future operations.
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
PHYSICAL ABILITIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM JOB:
- Must be in good physical shape with high stamina and dexterity
- Able to lift 50 lbs. plus (+)
- Ability to climb various types of ladders
- Good hand dexterity with both hands
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Able to bend and stoop easily
- Excellent eyesight with very good peripheral vision
- Able to work long hours when necessary; work overtime as needed
- Able to withstand extreme warehouse and outside temperatures of cold or hot
