PAY INCENTIVES:

  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,500, payable during the pay period following successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment
  • Retention Bonuses: Two additional $500 bonuses paid at 6 months and 1 year of employment, contingent upon active employment and good standing

POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Plant Manager and is based out of our Hendersonville, North Carolina location. This individual will be responsible for managing the entire supply chain operations. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of the job)

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensures production schedule is in the proper sequence to minimize product carryover while maintaining efficiency. 
  • Manages inventory of the warehouse for finished goods, raw materials, and ingredients. 
  • Coordinates the verification of production from the prior day's production by reviewing formula recovery versus actual cases recorded in QAD. 
  • Coordinates cycle counts with the inventory supervisor and ensures correct levels of counts are being performed to keep accurate inventories. 
  • Manages along with the supply chain supervisor the production schedule, logistics, purchases of ingredients, and packaging materials to supply production. 
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage two direct reports and five indirect reports consisting of salaried/hourly employees and union employees. 
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Communicates job expectations; planning, monitoring, and assessing job results; coaching, and counseling employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Establishes strategic goals; identifies and evaluates trends; chooses a course of action; defines objectives; evaluates outcomes.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred. 
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the food/beverage industry
  • Experience in Manufacturing or production environment (if necessary)
  • Experience in report writing
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Ability to direct, coach, and train others.
  • Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting.

 

FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in the area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).

 

OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.

 

VISION: Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high-speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.

 

HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines, and exhaust fans.
