Position Summary:
The production laborer is a member of the bottling department. The position will be rotated among duties. This position may learn operator position duties for future advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Orient bottles at the depal machine.
- Remove filler machine rejects on both lines, whichever is running.
- Orient bottles between the accumulation table and labeler.
- Check labels/codes after labeler.
- Ability to work variety pack and rainbow pack lines.
- Other's duties as assigned by supervisor.
Role in Food Safety: Follow plant GMP's at all times and ensure work area is secure.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of the production laborer position. A. Physical Requirements:
This position requires the following physical demands up to 90% of the time.
- Ability to turn head to look right/left as well as up and down.
- Ability to twist body at waist.
- Ability to bend/squat/kneel.
- Ability to grasp bottles.
- Ability to reach with both arms.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours during a shift minus breaks and lunch.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
B. Non-Physical Requirements:
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience:
- Minimum one year experience in the fruit industry preferred.
- Experience with forklifts preferred.
- Special Skills:
- Able to work any shift, overtime and any or all days of the week in accordance with plant needs.
- Knowledge and awareness of proper lifting techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to work safely, following all safety rules.
- A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
- Personally invested in the success of the business.

The production laborer will interact and communicate effectively with all employees in the plant.
