The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a strategic finance business partner supporting Kraton's Product Management, Innovation, and Finance teams. This role plays a critical part in driving commercial performance through robust financial analysis, product profitability insights, innovation portfolio management, and long-range strategic planning. The successful candidate will translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that influence pricing strategy, portfolio decisions, and innovation investment across our global business.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management Support

  • Lead product profitability calculations, margin analysis, and commercial financial reviews
  • Partner with product managers on strategic initiatives, including portfolio optimization and lifecycle management
  • Provide financial insights to support pricing decisions, portfolio rationalization, and commercial strategy
  • Develop and maintain analytical frameworks that drive data-informed product decisions

Innovation Team Support

  • Own and maintain the Innovation P&L, project tracking, and pipeline financial reporting- Calculate and validate ROI, NPV, payback periods, and financial feasibility for innovation projects
  • Prepare and review monthly innovation reporting decks, including executive-ready PowerPoint presentations
  • Lead the innovation budget planning and forecasting cycle, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities

Finance Team Support

  • Perform ad hoc product profitability, margin, and variance analyses to support business decisions
  • Contribute to the Long-Range Plan (LRP) and annual strategic planning cycles
Required Skills
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, product finance, business finance, or a similar role
  • Demonstrated track record of partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in **Microsoft Excel** (financial modeling, complex formulas, scenario analysis)
  • Expert-level **PowerPoint** skills for executive storytelling and reporting
  • Experience using AI in financial analysis.
  • Strong command of **financial modeling, ROI/NPV analysis, and profitability analytics**
  • Sharp business acumen with the ability to connect financial outcomes to commercial strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills — comfortable navigating product, innovation, commercial, and finance stakeholders
  • Self-starter mindset with strong ownership, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience within a multinational, matrixed organization preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, specialty chemicals, industrial products, or B2B environments
Education, Certifications & Licenses
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field from an Accredited University

  • MBA or CFA designation strongly preferred
