The Engineer II is the unit expert who provides day to day support to the operating unit and supports operators in troubleshooting performance gaps and improvement activities in the areas of HSE, Quality, Production and Costs. This position may be asked to provide backup support for the Production Engineer.  

Key Responsibilities

The Engineer II is the process engineer and unit expert for resin production at the Pensacola Plant.

 

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide day-to-day support of operating unit.
  • Track plant KPIs and assure the unit is operating at best possible performance. (HS&E, Quality, Cost, etc.)
  • Champion Operational Excellence initiatives at a plant level, which include leading process and safety improvement projects, completing complex problem solving projects, and implementing visual management standards.
  • Support PSM requirements (MOC, PSSR, PHAs, etc.) as the process expert.
  • Facilitate process and quality problem solving using Root Cause Analysis and statistical tools.
  • Support facility needs during safety or environmental related emergency events.
  • Manage small scale capital projects (< $100k)
Required Skills
  • 4+ years of engineering experience
  • Technical skills include a working knowledge for troubleshooting and resolving plant problems systematically
  • Moderate knowledge of DCS systems (DeltaV)
  • Experience in a PSM facility
  • Ability to conduct briefings to the plant team
  • Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, able to work independently with minimum supervision and possess excellent organizational skills.
Education, Certifications & Licenses
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
