Job Title: General Labor Warehouse Associate
Location: Port Wentworth, GA
Pay Rate: $18.50/hr
Schedule: Front Half Day (FHD) - Sunday to Wednesday, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM
Job Description:
Join our team as a General Labor Warehouse Associate and play a crucial role in our logistics operations. We are seeking dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can handle physically demanding tasks.
What You'll Do:
- Unload and Receive: Manually move large, heavy goods from inbound furniture orders.
- Lifting Requirements: Be prepared to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted and maneuver products weighing 150+ pounds unassisted or via team lift.
- Scan Technology: Use scan technology to document carton-level information, including condition, quantity, and warehouse location of materials.
- Order Management: Monitor order management systems to ensure proper receipt of orders and detail any Overage/Shortage/Damage issues.
- Inventory Accuracy: Perform regular cycle counts to keep inventory accurate and up to date.
- Pick and Stage Deliveries: Pick deliveries from inventory and stage them by truck and stop number.
- Improvement Input: Provide direct input into user tools and suggest improvements based on your experience.
- Team Collaboration: Be an active contributor, working effectively with peers and managers.
- Efficiency and Safety: Identify efficient ways to complete tasks, ask clarifying questions when needed, and ensure safety by reading and comprehending English.
What You'll Need:
- Physical Capability: Comfort with repeatedly lifting up to 75 lbs. unassisted and moving products weighing 150+ lbs. unassisted or via team lift.
- Endurance: Ability to work on the warehouse floor for 8 hours a day or more.
- Work Ethic: Strong, consistent work ethic.
- Technology Comfort: Familiarity with scanning technology.
- Experience: Experience in distribution or logistics is a plus; experience with High Jump is also a plus.
- Safety Skills: Ability to read and comprehend English to ensure safety.
